Labour motivation is one of the problems, the solution of which in world practice has always received great attention. Domestic theory and practice of labour motivation, as a rule, boil down to remuneration based on fixed tariff rates and official salaries and therefore are ineffective. The article discusses the personnel motivation factors in Ukraine, which showed that the monetary factor is the main motivators for the quality work of the staff. Since the workers are increasingly paying attention to a fair form of remuneration, it was proposed the grading as a motivational mechanism. On the example of the enterprise, the mechanism of action of the method is shown; the economic effect of its implementation is calculated.
